It is my right A poem by Hala Noureddin Translated by Mohamad Amin Chami Reviewed by Sihem Hammouda/ writers Syrian and Arabs Liberal Group Magazine / head editor Magazine : Mohamed Ahmad Khalifa

It is my right,
To colour wonder with questions,
To pin butterflies of fantasy,
On my solicitude;

To smell the scent of love,
Over the chaotic horizons,
In the minarets of passion,
Post-opening;

It is my right,
To befriend the obsessive solitude,
The folded sails' lights,
Of my vessels,
To switch on,

To fly pigeons flocked in cooing,
While amaranth of dreams,
Filled with juggling,

In the faraway, something attracts me,
So the ropes of sunset,
I'll cut off,
Out of my meteors,

The dusk time I'll give away,
So it be righteous to say,
How beautiful, O, hey.
